Our drilling hose product range includes Grade A through Grade G configurations, with published working pressure ratings from 1,500 PSI to 15,000 PSI and inside diameters from 1½ inches to 6 inches
Product Description
Kaiyuan Petroleum supplies rotary drilling hose and vibrator hose assemblies for drilling-fluid circulation systems on land and offshore drilling rigs. A rotary drilling hose, also known as a Kelly hose, connects the standpipe to the swivel or top drive, allowing drilling mud to circulate while the equipment moves. A vibrator hose connects the mud pump discharge to the standpipe or manifold, accommodating pump vibration, pressure pulsation and limited movement between connected equipment.
Our drilling hose product range includes Grade A through Grade G configurations, with published working pressure ratings from 1,500 PSI to 15,000 PSI and inside diameters from 1½ inches to 6 inches, depending on the selected grade. The hose features a fluid-resistant inner rubber layer, steel-wire reinforcement and an abrasion-resistant rubber cover. The published working temperature range is -40°C to +100°C.
For equipment manufacturers, drilling contractors and replacement-parts buyers, Kaiyuan supports customized hose assemblies with selected lengths, end connections, rubber materials, protective treatments and identification requirements. Hose size, pressure rating, minimum bend radius, fluid compatibility and connection dimensions are reviewed together to determine a suitable assembly for the intended installation.
It is composed of an inner rubber protection layer, middle rubber layer, steel wire spiral layer and external rubber cover.
Applications: Steel wire spiral drilling rubber hoses are used in oil fields, well cementing, well repairing, geological explorations, small drilling machine, and water conveyance at coal excavations. They are useful to carry slurry, water at environmental temperature, and other fluids.
Working Temperature: From -40℃ up to +100℃

Rotary drilling and vibrator hoses are used in high-pressure drilling-fluid circulation systems, but the correct hose configuration depends on its installation position, equipment movement, pressure pulsation and drilling medium. Buyers should identify the actual connection points before selecting the hose length, pressure class, minimum bend radius and end fittings.
In a conventional Kelly drilling system, the rotary drilling hose connects the standpipe outlet to the swivel. It carries pressurized drilling mud while allowing the swivel and traveling equipment to move vertically.
This hose is also commonly called a Kelly hose, rotary hose or high-pressure mud hose.
On a top-drive drilling rig, the rotary hose provides a flexible connection between the standpipe and the moving top-drive system. Compared with a fixed mud-line connection, this application introduces continuous vertical movement, repeated flexing and changing hose geometry.
The hose length should be calculated from the complete movement range. A hose that is too short can load the couplings and bend below the minimum radius, while an excessively long hose can rub against the derrick or interfere with nearby equipment.
A vibrator hose is normally installed between the mud-pump discharge and the lower standpipe or mud manifold. Its main function is to transfer drilling fluid while isolating pump vibration, pressure pulsation and minor alignment differences between fixed equipment.
Unlike a rotary hose, the vibrator hose does not normally follow the full vertical movement of a swivel or top drive. Its length and support method should be selected for pump vibration rather than traveling equipment.
The hose can also be configured as a flexible connection between a mud pump and a high-pressure manifold. This arrangement helps accommodate installation tolerances and prevents pump vibration from being transferred directly into rigid piping.
All unions, adapters, valves and manifold connections must have a pressure rating equal to or higher than the hose assembly.
Rotary and vibrator hoses are frequently purchased as replacement assemblies for operating rigs. However, ordering only by hose diameter and working pressure can result in an incompatible product.
Kaiyuan can review the existing hose, mating components and installation dimensions before confirming the replacement configuration.
The hose may be configured for approved water-based, oil-based or synthetic-based drilling fluids. The inner tube must be selected according to the actual mud formulation, oil content, chemical additives, solids content and operating temperature.
Buyers should not assume that one liner compound is suitable for every drilling fluid. Send the fluid information during quotation so that material compatibility can be reviewed before production.
Rotary and vibrator hose assemblies can be supplied for land-based and offshore drilling equipment when the required pressure, routing, documentation and environmental conditions are clearly defined.
These options should be confirmed separately because they can affect hose weight, flexibility, inspection procedures and delivery time.
Kaiyuan’s product range includes drilling hoses, hammer unions, specialty unions, seals, manifolds and drilling connection components. Its machining capability supports the review of mating adapters, union ends and other metal interfaces together with the hose assembly.
This coordinated approach helps reduce common procurement problems such as:
| Customization Item | Available Custom Scope |
|---|---|
| Inside Diameter | Published Grade A–G sizes |
| Working Pressure | Selection among published 1,500–15,000 PSI grades |
| Hose Length | Custom lengths, including extended lengths where technically feasible |
| End Connections | Hammer unions, flanges, threaded fittings and drawing-based end configurations |
| Inner Tube | Selected oil-resistant, chemical-resistant or higher-temperature materials |
| Reinforcement | Approved multi-layer steel-wire or engineered reinforcement configurations |
| Outer Protection | Special cover material, protective sleeve or selected wear-resistant treatment |
| Metal Fitting Material | Carbon steel, stainless steel and selected alloy steel options |
| Product Marking | Customer logo, serial number, identification or specified cover color |
| Technical Documentation | Required drawings, material information and inspection documents for review |
Kaiyuan's published Grade D range includes a 3-inch hose with a 5,000 PSI working pressure, 107 mm outside diameter and 1,200 mm minimum bend radius. Before ordering, confirm the required assembly length, both end fittings, fluid composition, operating temperature and routing conditions. The complete assembly must be suitable for the system pressure and installation.
Grade D has a published working pressure of 5,000 PSI, while Grade E has a working pressure of 7,500 PSI. The two grades may also differ in outside diameter, weight, minimum bend radius and hose construction. Select the grade according to system pressure and the approved assembly specifications rather than assuming Grade E can replace Grade D without checking installation dimensions.
FIG 1502-type hammer union connections can be requested as part of a custom assembly. Please provide the required size, connection orientation, pressure rating and mating equipment information. The union configuration must be verified for the intended hose pressure and service before the assembly is confirmed.
Different End A and End B configurations can be reviewed according to the rig layout. For example, an assembly may require a threaded connection at one end and an approved flange or union at the other. Supply both interface specifications and an installation drawing so the overall length and connection compatibility can be confirmed.
Measure the connection positions throughout the complete movement range of the top drive. The selected hose must have sufficient length to accommodate movement without pulling on the couplings, exceeding the permissible movement envelope or bending below its minimum bend radius. Provide the equipment layout and maximum travel details for technical review.
Material configurations can be evaluated for oil-based and synthetic-based drilling fluids. The selected inner tube must be compatible with the actual fluid formulation, including oil content, additives, solids and operating temperature. Submit the fluid data when requesting the hose so the appropriate liner option can be reviewed.
Both pressure classes appear in Kaiyuan's published product range. Grade F is listed in 2-inch through 4-inch sizes, while Grade G is currently listed in a 2-inch configuration. The intended application, hose construction, end fittings, applicable specifications and technical documents must be reviewed for these higher-pressure assemblies before quotation is finalized.
These accessories can be requested when technically suitable for the selected assembly. Provide the hose grade, size, overall length, assembled weight and installation requirements. The required accessories, attachment methods and supply scope should be agreed during quotation rather than assumed to be standard with every hose.
Whether you need a 3-inch Grade D 5,000 PSI rotary drilling hose, a Grade E 7,500 PSI Kelly hose, a vibrator hose for mud-pump discharge, or a custom replacement assembly, Kaiyuan Petroleum can review your technical requirements and help identify a suitable configuration. Our product range also includes related hammer unions, fittings and drilling connection components to support complete equipment compatibility.
Send us your hose grade, inside diameter, working pressure, required overall length, End A and End B connection specifications, drilling-fluid details, operating temperature and order quantity. For replacement orders, include the original hose part number, photographs or dimensional drawings. Our team will review the requested configuration, available customization options, applicable documentation and quotation details.
